I am graduate of Ashford University in which I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Social Science with an Education Concentration (BASS Ed.); with my teaching credentials being the next step. During my attendance I was on the Dean's List nearly every term. I volunteered as a teacher's aide in a second grade classroom, which is where my passion for teaching was sparked. I was a Fully-Qualified Teacher at California Kids - a private daycare, infant center, preschool program, etc.; the pictures above are some of the artwork my students made for me :) I was also part of the PALS program my senior year of high school.
This is a section I could write forever on, simply explaining my beliefs and philosophies on teaching and learning that I have developed over the years and over the classes I've taken; but generally speaking, without turning this into yet another 8-page research paper - thank you for that Ashford ;) - I teach with the total understanding that each brain operates and process information differently, and subsequently each student, whatever the subject, will have a different learning style. I also believe teachers are there more to guide the students towards finding their most effective way of learning. Feel free to ask me any questions on this subject, as not only do I feel very strongly about proper, effective teaching, but I enjoy simply talking about it because it is something I truly love.
